I don’t think anyone really ever taught me how to be a Mom. I was raised with some of the fundamentals, wash your kids, feed your kids, make sure they don’t kill each other, and make sure you don’t kill them… you know, the important fundamentals of parenting. Everything else, I was on my own!

I’ve been a mom my E N T I R E adult life… I’m not kidding… so I’m sorta an expert on this stuff (in my own mind). Because of this, I’ve decided that I would share with you all, the necessary things I find useful while raising kids…. p.s. this is a product laden post!

Kids get sick. And then they get us sick. Sick is no fun. While you can prevent some things, colds and most seasonal viruses are still gonna get someone sick. I’m not huge on medications. I love all natural alternatives for soothing symptoms. For example, I love hot lemon water to soothe a sore throat; lavender oil for relaxation and sleep; eucalyptus for congestion….. you know, all the stuff that comes up on the regular when you have kids. So, I was really happy to find Maty’s whole food, all natural remedies! They have tonics and rubs for just about anything! And they are all natural, chemical free, alternatives to medicine. Next up, headaches and body aches…. because you’re a parent, so you have them, all.the.time.  What you can’t do, is take Advil (Ibuprofen) all the time…. say what?!  I know, I know, I need it too.  The issue with taking Ibuprofen too much, is there is a rebound effect.  That headache you have been treating with Ibuprofen for several days, after two days, stop taking the Ibuprofen, you will get a rebound headache… you will, I promise you (Thanks Dr. Kim for pointing out why my headaches weren’t going away).  So what in sam hill are you supposed to do?   Well, I found an all natural, chemical free, vegan, way of helping my headaches and overall discomfort issues from joint pain, muscle aches (because carrying toddlers all day gives me defined arms, but they hurt).  Introducing Banja Balm from Khroma herbal products.  Seriously, you need this balm in your life.  It has truly been a lifesaver for me.  You can find more on this amazing company, plus where to get it >>Click Me<<

Onward to skin.  My body has been put through the ringer.  I had two kids pretty young, so my body appeared to bounce back relatively well.  But, when I was faced with secondary infertility, we did In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).  The IVF hormones, coupled with pregnancies and miscarriages for 5 years, took a big toll on my skin.  Plus, I’m 41 so there is that.  Collagen seems to be dramatically waning.  So wrinkles and stretch marks abound.  While genetics plays a big role in who gets stretch marks and wrinkles, there are products available to reduce the appearance of those mama stripes you may have!  Dermaclara utilizes silicone technologies to treat the appearance of wrinkles, scars and stretch marks.  I shall be wrapping myself from head to toe in silicone hence forth.  If you want to get in on the silicone wrapping party, you will find out more about this amazing product, including where to get it >>Click Me Too<<

Last, but certainly not least, your health starts from the inside.  So, I have found a product that you can get at many of your local more healthy alternative grocery stores such as WholeFoods markets.  Base Culture is a line of Paleo, gluten free, grain free, dairy free, tasty snack products.  I really enjoy their brownies and energy bites!  For more information on this product and the company you will find that information >>You know you wanna Click Me Too<<

So there you have it!  Some of the products I keep in my mom arsenal.
